History & Background

Located in St. Charles, Power Athletics is one of the largest, top rated training facilities in the Chicagoland area with over 10,000 square feet. The facility is open Monday through Saturday with both early morning and evening hours. Power Athletics trains athletes from every sport, at every level and serves both adults and children.

Power Athletics Wellness, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit agency, was created in 2017 by David Brown to expand services to assist the underserved populations, such as special needs individuals, low-income individuals, veterans, seniors and more. We are excited to bring fitness, team building, recreational and nutritional services to youths and adults in need in the Kane County communities. Through Power Athletics Wellness, the Power Athletics fitness programs taught by experienced trainers will continue to grow in order to accommodate and help bring programs to as many individuals in need in the Fox Valley area as we are able to.

David Brown, the founder of Power Athletics Wellness and the owner of Power Athletics, is an accomplished athlete with a desire to give back to his community. He is a former wide receiver for the Chicago Blitz, Chicago Slaughter, and Chicago Rush football teams. Brown twice received recognition for First Team Wide Receiver in Arena Football and led the league in receptions and touchdowns. After leaving professional football, Brown began his professional training career and worked as a coach for the South Elgin High School football and girls basketball teams. Brown has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Physical Education.
